The Kingdom of South-East Ka'Glen is currently ruled by a single family, The Gorren House, with its capital currently being the magnificent city of Toldale. The kingdom is predominately human and dragonion in population, however, a great variety of intelligent races occupy the land. Though the reign of the king supposedly covers the entire South-east part of the continent, the military is only able to reinforce and control the lands less harsh terrains, specifically the clearings close to Oruon. Guard posts are erected throughout the southern continent and patrols are frequent to keep the lands safe. The darker, western half of South-east Ka'Glen is completely uncontrolled by Toldale's forces and the more sinister, crooked things lurk there.

Slavery is a common practice amongst the wealthier citizens of Toldale. To attack a man's slave is considered destruction of property so slaves are often well-guarded. Although an owner is free to discipline their slaves as seen fit, abuse and torture of cruel natures are illegal. To have the responsibility of another man's freedom is to take care of him as you would a beast of burden.

The people believe in progression and prosperity through unity and rely on the decisions of the king. Technology is relatively high as the kingdom is capable of producing great items of steel and metal because of their skilled craftsmen. The kingdom has colonized most of the tamer regions of its continent, slowly progressing back towards Setanul. The military and cities are very organized and civilized, but the majority of people have forgotten their respect for nature and the world around them, destroying the earth to benefit their complex infrastructure. Most wealthy areas have running water from aqueducts and strong, stone buildings. Trade thrives in Toldale and it is truly the marvel of this world.

Oruon

Capital: Oruon, the City of Thieves.

The desert empire of Oruon is far from perfect -- constantly battling civil wars, social unrest, poverty, high crime, and famine, the citizens of the Oruon empire are forced to survive on difficult terms. However, there is a beauty in the lifestyle of the desert-folk -- the consistent struggle against Enol's savage heat and desert binds them together with an unity that is incomparable to the casual, simplistic lifestyle of Feyerlun. The population of Oruon is significantly decentralized -- large groups of various species inhabit this kingdom; exiles and outcasts find sanctuary here as Oruon does not stereotype nor judge her people, sheltering all that are willing to endure the trials that the desert lifestyle are expected to bring.

The majority of Oruon is constructed of dried mud adobes, where some of the richer citizens have managed to afford the expenses of constructing small villas; regardless of architecture, there are no glass windows on any houses in Oruon, as the heat is nearly unbearable -- shutters or curtains are the preferred choice of privacy. Though Oruon does not have technology to boast, the variety of people found in their city is vast enough that it creates a sense of unpredictability in strategy and strength. The Enol desert trains her people to bear a great number of conflicts, creating men and women of experience far beyond their years.

Any slave traders attempting to smuggle in or out of the empire are arrested immediately, as slavery is not tolerated on Oruon soil. Although servants are popular amongst the higher class, they are free men, not bound to their master by any oath or law. However, Ambrosia has assumed the throne through his warmongering and killing of the royal family. Though no diplomat, he uses means of terror and threats to control his people -- those that oppose him are immediately executed in public. Though his reign is limited to Oruon itself as the desert is difficult to control, the population is concentrated inside the capital city so they people are forced beneath his rule in order to take sanctuary within Oruon.
