Crown of Daggers
In the world of Feyerlun lie two kingdoms-Toldale in the plains, and Setanul by the sea. Setanul, the most beautiful city, stands as a testament to the powerful Fairchild family's affluence and presence in Feyerlun with marble spires and elaborate cultivated gardens. Setanul derives most of its wealth from the schooling and equipping of magic-users, catering to Mages of all skill levels. Toldale, by contrast, is more robust and industrialized, acting as a militant center for the Gorren House. Toldale also serves the mining and agricultural aspects of Feyerlun's economy, with amenities oriented towards working-class Dwarves and Humans, predominantly.
However the story beings eight years ago, when there was darkness that covered the land, and sickness and poverty claimed the lives of all races. Many of the ancient races suffered during this dark time. In the moon temple there is an ancient tapestry that speaks of an ancient evil that slumbers deep within the earth known as the 'Destruction of worlds'. A relic that the kings of old created as a weapon to concur all. It was because of an ancient kings sacrifice, Core Noru, did the weapon no resurface. Rumors of its creation spread through out Feyerlun as a myth.
Then a Deity that was thought to be corrupted emerged. Ambrosia, the god of judgement lead this world into a internal war over this weapon. He even went as far as killing the Emperor that ruled the entire continent of Feyerlun. His intentions were to 'cleans' the world of this false Emperor. To bring the world back to kings and believing in Gods. Once the Emperor's death, he then divided the world of feyerlun into three territories. The three territories that are here today.
Ambrosia then took his place as king of Toldale in hopes of resurrecting an ancient evil from Feyerlun's depths. He dared the gods to interfere, an only one did, Saden. To resurrect this ancient evil four relics must be used. So Saden took these relics and scattered them across the world. The war ended, and the world slowly came out of darkness. Thus the weapon and it's relics fading back into rumors and myths.
----------------------
Now, eight years has passed. Setanul's royal treasury has been robbed, one of the relics are now missing, and the Gorren House stands poised for war once again. The Fairchilds, fearing the worst and brooding over the Gorren's brash behavior, have begun seeking those who might procure the relic and restore peace, but...
Darkness looms in the North. Hellish creatures of mangled form and filled with rage have beset upon the inhabitants of Feyerlun, transforming them in their wake. Dusk, they are called, for the wounds they inflict turn ashen and darken the soul, eventually claiming their victim, mind and body. As unrest seizes the land, those brave enough or desperate enough find employment in Toldale's Crystal Mines-a difficult and dangerous job.
Toldale's export of crystals for Setanul's magic industry now stands as the last bridge of trust between Gorren and Fairchild. Whispers speak of ' The Destruction of Worlds' once again, unless it is destroyed, war will ravage Feyerlun and darkness will once again claim the lives of the five races
