Aria listened to the girls description with a frown, her arms crossed over her chest while one finger tapped her chin. Her eyebrows knit it thought; these beast certainly weren't prominent before she went to the glade. The dark black skin, the bleeding, the light mages; all of it pointed to mana corruption only at a significantly expedited rate. At the thought of that Aria went a little green in the face; mana corruption was such an unpleasant feeling. She had only been sixteen when she had the unfortunate experience of coming down with it naturally.
"Your describing the symptoms of mana poisoning; the light mages 'cure' you're talking about is when they take the corrupted mana into their own bodies. They have to be quick about it and be able to transfer the corrupted mana into something else, else wise they would be the ones to succumb to the sickness"
Aria shook her head; obviously troubled by these new beings....they had to hold corrupted mana to infect others. But her bigger question was...how they were surviving it. She chewed her lip in thought before one question lead to another. These creatures were not the first to survive corruption, there was a whole population of beasts down in a certain basement of doom. Aria shook her head pushing the line of thoughts away; not even back for more than a week and she was already starting to dig into something she would regret.
"My next stop is Todale before I go back to Oroun; but your advice sounds wise. It does certainly sound like one would do well with a companion in these times."
It was odd how eight years ago no one hardly recognized the systems of mana poisoning; after all it wasn't really common back then. But they certainly recognized it now, although perhaps it had a different name now. However it was good to know beforehand if she saw these creatures....choose flight, or a long ranged fight.
As she was off in thought a loud grumbling noise came from her stomach; with a surprised expression she looked down.
"Oh ya...lunch; can you point me in the direction of the Cripple Saloon you were talking about?"
