New Beginnings (open)

[Deidric]

Deidric looks slightly surprised to hear the old tongue coming from the demoness, but then again he had no idea how old she was so who knows. “I don’t think the fact that the little High Walker knows your name is a problem.” Deidric points out, but after both the girls are introduced and they conversely ask him what his name is Deidric laughs aloud. “Oh that’s right, I haven’t introduced myself yet have I? My Name is Deidric, no last name any longer.” He introduces with a practiced smile.

“And yes, I have a vested interest in the person whom that wyvern protects.” Deidric replies to Roxanne, as his attention turns over to Aria he could feel that the shadow birds had located another presence in the area. He needed to wait a bit longer to identify it. Though as he works on that he wonders what the little High Walker is up to.

Though when Avon responds to him Deidric’s attention refocuses onto the splashing sounds from another spring. As the small dragon lands on his shoulder and urges him to start moving Deidric hears Roxanne’s mention of another female Ku Deyu and then suddenly and without and prior warning wings sprout from his back and he takes off into the air at high speed and flies over to where the new figure is.

“…hello there.” He greets as he comes face to face with a new figure. The steam clouded his vision for a second making it a little difficult to make out he new figure, but it did smell right. Water dripped off of Deidric armor as he stands before the pool unabashed.

[SIARITH]

To the East, a small pool could be found nestled alongside the mountain, a natural mist concealing it and anything lurking there; underneath, the water barely visible against the blackness of the stones lining it. Between the haze and water, Siarith's bare form lay motionless, her mind vacant. Beyond the gentle lapping of her immediate surroundings, the clicks, chirps, and scrapes of nocturnal species rippled as the water across her sensitive hearing, breaking suddenly upon the whistling approach of a winged creature. The presence of another Ku D'eyu roused Siarith's attention, and she slipped a little further under the surface, relieved at last by Deidric's greeting.

"And to you as well, cirdieD."

The underbrush behind the two opened up, and a purring Avon approached, chirping once at Deidric, then gliding across the water to his master.

"Well then, it seems I've had two handsome males seek me out this evening. To what do I owe the pleasure?" Siarith jested, bringing herself upright in the water. A pair of firm breasts lay beneath her almond tresses, belying only their outline; droplets clung to her skin like morning dew, and the fog parted slightly, making her only just visible to the sharpened senses of the Ku. Though naked, save for her blindfold, she demonstrated no sign of nervousness or embarrassment, holding herself with the poise fitting an advisor of royalty.

Avon curled his body around Siarith's thigh, then descended into the water and mounted a nearby boulder to gain a prominent vantage point before letting out a shrill series of chirps to draw attention. "It seems like my familiar is on to something, cirdieD; I'm willing to wager you could expound a bit on it..." she trailed, recalling the last time she had seen Deidric. "It's been a while. How has the past eight years of the apocalypse been treating you?" 

[Roxanne]

It had been a very long time indeed since Roxanne had participated in formal introductions and for some odd reason, this exchange pleased her. She gave Diedric another smile. "It has been a pleasure meeting you," she purred, her timing uncanny as he soon dashes off north in the direction of what she assumes is the female he's looking for, leaving her alone with this strange girl.


For a moment, silence fell as the demon recline against her wings in the pool, the water lapping at her midriff as she idly made circles on the surface with her tail. She could hear the sounds of distant conversation, and wondered if perhaps they would have company soon or if this girl would simply go join the other two. It didn't really matter to her either way. "I probably shouldn't tarry long in this place, it makes me feel things. Almost remember. Which can't possibly be good," she mutters. "I think the only reason I came here was because of you. I don't really remember who you are, only that you were important," she directs to Aria, in a disinterested tone.

[Aria Wurud]

Aria watched Avon with intensified interest; well wasn't that behavior curious. She made a note of the circular pattern. An amused smile graced her lips when he thanked her before taking off 'On the contrary, Thank you Avon'. With that Aria pushed herself out of the water and by her pack. Steam rose off her body as the moisture seemed to evaporate away leaving her dry as a bone. She pulled on a white band to cover her chest and white undergarments before wrapping an almost transparent cloth around her form. She dug in once more before pulling out a small pouch. All while paying attention to the other two. She chuckled when she was suddenly referred to as high walker.

"I'm more of a low walker, I can't say I'm very high off the ground...I'm rather short compared to most."

Aria smiled at him before walking around the area leisurely, dropping what appeared to be sand at first glance. She circled once, twice, went this way and that. Then stopped seeming satisfied with herself. As Roxanne spoke Aria nodded.

"Ignorance certainly can be bliss; however important things always have the tendency of showing up again."

She turned to the demoness and bowed, the soft material flowing around her like wisps.

"With that I bid you adue, it was nice seeing you"

She winked as her form seemed to dissolve into thin air as if it hadn't ever been there. The pack was gone as well. The sand she had dropped almost unnoticeably sprouting.

[Beasts]

Meanwhile back in the springs where Aria and Roxanne still soaked, six tiny eyes watched quietly from afar. The smell of manna thick in the air, which attracted this creature to the springs. It's deformed body maneuvered through the undergrowth with ease, its front feet barely making a noise as it approached the two girl's pool. The light of the fire attracting it even more to that delusions smell of manna.

Before long the large, five-foot, gray skinned creature emerged from the north end of the bank. It's head popping out of the brush to inspect what was in the water. Curiosity kept the creature at bay, keeping it on the shore as if unsure what the properties of water were. It's six tiny eyes, black and lifeless, stared at the steaming water. It's eyes catching the reflection of the fire's light. A long tube extended from its leathery, egg shaped skull as it hissed.

A corruptor now was in the girls presence. The smell of manna thick in the air which caused the creature to hiss in excitement. Hunger consumed the corruptors mind as it sniffed the air with it's long tube. It's body crouched at the water's edge as if it couldn't pin point where Aria and Roxanne were. It's head bobbing up and down, taking in the air to try and pin point where it's meal was located at. The steam from water had hidden it's meals scent, which frustrated the corruptor even more.

[Deidric]

As Deidic sees the girl get to her feet he smiles. Even if she had changed a lot Deidric could tell from her scent and the features that were still unchanged who this was. An anger burned inside of him against the one who had stolen her sight and destroyed his home world, but that was suppressed by duty to the girl before him. A wide smile broke out on his face as he enters the pool his armor fading into his inventory but his black coat, pants and sword remain. “It’s good to see you again.” He says as he reaches her and unceremoniously picks her up.

“I’d like to say that you’ve gotten bigger, but I don’t think you’re doing any more growing. Where have you been these past eight years?” He asks as he sets her down. Though Elena’s size hadn’t changed much she was very different than she had been. When he had seen her last time she had been the very image of her mother and had still seemed very young, but her current poise made her seem much more like the grown woman, he supposed she was.

“I’ve been doing as well as expected I suppose. This world is a pretty interesting place, and its people are getting better at fighting and war. I’ve even had some good fights during my time here.” He admits with a refreshed smile. Though as Avon perks up Deidric’s interest is drawn away and the shadow birds alert Deidric to the approaching threat.

“Corruptors, I only see one at the moment, but there are probably others.” He says as the birds begin to fly lower in order to check more thoroughly. Deidric himself draws his sword and black scales begin to emerge from his skin as his eyes turn golden and he begins to look for other potential threats. “So Elena, can you still fight?” he asks ready to engage anything that comes near.

[Roxanne]

An odd, rotting smell reaches Roxanne's nose accompanied by rustling among the foliage. Lifting her wings, she flaps once which pulls her out of the water and lands gently on the bank. A quick blast of heat surrounds her, drying her skin as she reaches for her scythe. About that time, Aria does some odd sand man thing and then disappears. The demon notices the sand sprouting slightly but shrugs it off. It didn't concern her what the girl did.

Out of the bushes comes a corrupter and a nasty smile graces her face. Where there was one, there were others. She rolls her shoulders and with a flap of her black wings, puts herself about 5 ft off the ground, giving herself a height advantage. For now, Roxanne would watch and wait. Holding her scythe in both hands, she knew it would be a simple matter to decapitate it but Diedric and Aria seemed to want in on the action as well. She could wait her turn, certain that there would be enough for all of them at least. "I'm ready to play when you are," she announced to no one in particular.

[SIARITH]

The surface of the water became disturbed the moment Deidric entered the pool, ripples breaking against Siarith's thighs the more he waded into the water. Even the rocks nestled between her feet vibrated at the Ku-Deyu's approaching step, which caused her to tense up when the touch of fabric, followed by skin brushed up against her bare form. A breath of air escaped her lips the second she felt her body being lifted, his arms already wrapped around her petite frame, holding her close in a intense hug.

" It's called aging, cidieD, I wasn't going to stay a child forever you know. " Siarith chuckled, placing one foot done before the other in the time for Deidric to kindly set her back into the water.

" I have been in Heaven's Pass for five years. The rest I've been in the kingdom of Toldale, adviser to the now God King Ambrosia….But, I see you did the one thing I asked." her smile fading, but despite the sad look, Siarith raised one hand to rest against his cheek. Her fingers, soft, yet sensitive barely trace the hard edges of his skin.

" You haven't changed much at all." She says in a surprised tone, slowly dropping her hand back down to her side. It seemed she hadn't been the only one to go through some hardships. A thought that would bring some relief, before Avon began to chirp even louder.

'Corruptors'

A name that she knew, hated, and wished she hadn't heard. These creatures were dangerous and been reported to travel in packs, let alone seek out anything with magical properties. If one was here, there were bound to be others, which brought a chill down Siarith's spine. Her head turned to Deidric when he asked if she could still fight.

" My outward appearance might have changed, but I assure you.... I can still fight." She smirked, taking a defensive stance.

[Aria Wurud]

Aria had triggered an invisibility spell, and stood still and silent as she listened hard for what was approaching. It sounded odd, and it moved like no creature she heard before. She kept her vines steadily growing, letting them wrap around trees and the ground, slowly entwining around each other. Her hand reached to her back as a handle slowly came from her skin; the inky black tattoo moving along her back until it was there no more and a sword rested comfortably in her hand. Her muscles were poised and ready to spring. A smile slowly crept onto her lips; her eyes alit with excitement. Just a bit closer.

A head popped out only a few feet away and she knew what she was dealing with, the sucker gave it away. It bobbed its head up and down, much like she did when searching for a scent in the air. But water always seems to way any kind of scent down.

The trap launched as soon as the creature stepped onto the netting that had formed. The vines wrapping and lifting the beast into the air. A silver razor like whip launched out from below it, like a whirl wind it sliced through the limbs and sucker of the beast in one fluid motion. Her form appeared into view once more as she bounced away from the beast. Her hand held out to the water, steam began to double slowly enveloping the area and beyond in a thick fog. Two large dog like ears sat upon her head swiveling back and forth. She would hear anything else coming...because if she remembered what she had been told these things hunted in packs. Luckily she had spread her net around the entire area of the spring...their friends more north however would have to fend for themselves.

[Beasts]

The Corruptor was caught off guard by the time it realized it had stepped into a trap. It's nostrils flaring as it let out a ear piercing screech. It's limbs torn away from it's body leaving only a mangled, bloody torso and head. It's s-shape neck jerking back in forth out of fear, rage, and confusion. Torso thrashing about trying to escape, but it's struggle would go unrewarded. Finally after a few minutes the torso stopped struggling, while little black eyes stared right at Aria and Roxanne from it's entangled form.

'SCRRRRRRRRRRRRR'

A few yards away eight more screeches could be heard. Four Corruptor's appeared to the north, their gray bodies weaving through the tree's like a pack of wild dogs. Their sense of smell leading them right to Deidric and Siarith. Two in which actually emerged from the forest and approached the spring with out fear or hesitation. Eyes locked on the two magic users as one attempts to wade into the pool.

From all directions, four more corruptors approached the pool where Aria and Roxanne were currently at. However, these four did not come close to the spring. Instead they circled the area, checking the ground as if tracking some sort of scent trail before cautiously moving forward. Their movements were more calculated as they came closer and closer to where the girls were standing.

[Deidric]

As Elena tells him she wasn't going to remain a child forever Deidric simply lets out a sigh and nods. "Yes, I suppose that's the case, but it's hard to change old habits and ways of viewing things." He says aware that the nod was no longer a valid cue. However as she mentions being the advisor to the king of Toldale Deidric's breathing slows and he goes quiet for a moment. "So you're still serving the man who did this to you?" He asks, his voice laced with anger against the offender and concern.

As he continues to stare look at her Deidric reaches up and touches her lovely face. "Elena, what don't you heal your eyes? It is very difficult to wound a Ku Deyu permanently is there another reason, or does that Lord or Madness had the power to give wounds that cannot heal?" he asks as this information would be important for when he finally sought revenge against the Lord of Madness. Though as Deidric was alerted of the corruptors and his he preparedto fight he couldn't help but feel relieved, even in a situation like this there was still something to fight for other than amusement and revenge.


Deidric's expression broke into a smirk as Elena said that she could still fight. Well the girl had always insisted that she could do things on her own. Why should something small like blindness change that? Deidric takes a deep breath as one of the corruptors prepare to approach and as it touches the water an earth shaking dragon's roar springs forth from his throat as his wings emerge from his back and he bolts towards the corruptor. Lately fighting Dusks and Corruptors had become Deidric's way of passing time, and while in most cases it was more efficient to deal with corruptors with a scortched earth strategy he was not about to destroy this place of memory unless he had to.

As Deidric moves several of the birds that had been scouting return and enter his body, however one instead stays with Elena. Deidric had shown her this technique before and the bird was made of Mysu since Deidric was unable to use mana due to the combination of his Ku Deyu bloodlines. As he reaches the corruptor, his skin replaced with scales, Deidric immediately falls into the forms of a master swordsman. He makes fast sweeping thrusts aimed as dismembering instead of his usual direct and brutal form that was designed for crushing and cleaving his opponent in half.

However Deidric's style here was mostly hit and run, move in, sice away enemy limbs with fast strikes and disengage. This allowed him to fight the Corruptors without engaging any single one too closely since he didn't want to risk the others emerging and swarming him, and he wanted to be able to get to Elena if they needed to change plans.

[SIARITH]

" I choose not to heal my eyes... I got tired of them being ripped out."

Siarith spoke in a somber almost lost tone; her emotions absent as if sponged out within those two sentences. Ambrosia had robbed her freedom to see, but he had also given her a taste of the darker side of life that tested her abilities and faith. A life that was not all dolls, dresses, and luxury that she had experienced in her childhood years in Hyperia. Here no one knew her as princess, they knew her only as the name and face she masqueraded, Siairth Dog of the Iron King.

A disturbance on the water's surface alerted Siarith of what they were facing. The presence of something fierce now entered the spring and stared them face to face, but only one. Corruptors were known to travel in pairs, which is why they are often seen in groups. Only one she could tell was stepping into the pool. So where were was it's match? Siarith pondered for a moment before being interrupted by Deidric's battle cry.

" Don't break the sack! "

Siarith warned, Her tone carrying a growl towards the end of the word 'sack'. In a instant her skin began to molt and her bone structure changed. Sand colored scales, teal-blue glossy jewels, replaced her former skin. Even her brown hair morphed into this shimmering beast with claws, wings and long whip tail. The moon's light bouncing off each scale like diamonds in the night. Unlike before where she was afraid to transform, this time it seemed elegant and poised, like a rehearsed play. A complete transformation, now with baring sharp teeth and razor claws. Wings stretching back, allowing the soft glossy lining to shake off the water that clung to her form.

A sharp hiss and Siarith lunged from the water onto the smooth rocky bank. If another corruptor were to emerge out of the forest she would attack the moment it entered the clearing.

[Roxanne]

Roxanne watched for a moment, impressed by Aria's techniques. More memories returned and she realized that the red head had learned quite a bit in the demon's absence. Her thoughts were soon interrupted, however, as more corrupters emerged in the north followed by four more here as well. They were cautious, seeming to have learned from their companion's mistake.

Rolling her shoulders and neck, the demoness smirked briefly at an outcry not to break the sack. That was common sense wasn't it? Gaining another foot or so of air, Roxanne then began swooping around two of the corrupters. Her motions blurred as she swung her scythe, cutting off their limbs and heads. The speed with which she moved impressive for her form and large wings, both her targets down in about a minute. Smiling with an evil sort of delight, Roxanne hovered for a moment more before casually flinging out her hand. Flames enveloped the two front legs and back left leg of another corrupter. Leaving the creature to fall into an amusing belly flop and the demoness chuckled a bit before finishing it off.

[Aria Wurud]

Calmly she wrapped a section of cloth around her hands and picked up a severed limb; when the thing shrieked Aria calmly slapped the thing across the face with its own arm.

"You, Shush it"

She tossed the arm into the bonfire she had built that still burned. She heard each response to the corrupters call; it would seem that had some sort of communication going...which was interesting. She wondered what call they made when there was nothing to be found. That would be a useful sound to learn. Her ears twitched as the shout of don't break the sack rang out. That was useful information to know.

As the corruptors surrounded them Aria did not fail to notice they had learned from their companion's mistake. They were quick to adapt; and they seemed to be tracking her netting. A smile graced her lips; they were staying back in the woods. Which were filled with plants; wonderful plants with wonderful pointy roots and branches. She waited for Roxy to begin her attack; as Roxy took one side Aria took the other. She locked in on one corruptor, the noise in the brush painting out its exact location. The sound waves the bounced back to her large ears painted the picture of its form. Taking rapid control over a tree its roots launched out of the ground behind the corruptor impaling its back legs. With a flick of her wrist the whip like blade launched into and imbedded itself in-between its ugly little eyes. She yanked back retracting the wedged shaped blades tearing the small egg shaped head in half.
To assist Roxy, Aria would control a root here and a root there to trip or delay a corrupter long enough for Roxy to get a blow. A frown graced her lips when Roxy lit a corrupter. Before the flames reached the corruptors sack Aria extinguished them with her own magic...luckily Roxy finished it off shortly after. After Aria took a quick head count...Roxy had taken care of three and she had gotten one plus the one she had just hung up...She glanced at it....she wondered if she could keep it. It's name would be George. A smile graced her lips but her guard was not dropped. These things were smart and she had made it plenty clear that the ground was not safe. So she paid a little extra attention to the branches above; after all people rarely looked up. She would be ready to act if another made an appearance.

[Beasts]

The first corruptor that hung from Aria's tangling vines remained silent after being slapped by it's own arm. For a moment the creature watched as it's fellow pack members were being picked off one by one. It's limbless body twitching as if attempting to struggle for freedom. In the process it extended it's long mosquito like tube, where it began to vibrate. The vibrating created a humming bellow of sorts, low but loud enough for anyone that had good enough hearing could defiantly pick up the frequency.

It continued to do this, even after all the corruptors that had attacked Roxanne and Aria were taken down. Such a distracting humming sound, until suddenly it stopped. The corruptor went silent, it's tube shape mouth retracting back into it's skull.

The springs were still, no a bird or animal call to be heard for miles. The only sound that remained was the sizzling crackle of the corruptor's arm burning within the embers of the fire. A eerie sound, but one that didn't last very long. The corruptor that had made the vibrating bellow slowly went lifeless, it's head dropping as it's body seemed to wither. Underneath it's withering corpse, another corruptor could be seen, larger and it's head drenched in blood. It's tube like mouth draining it's dying companions fluids leaving the hanging corruptor dry and brittle. It's sack now full of manna, the creature began to lightly weave it's way around the vines until finally it had managed to step past them. It's movements graceful as it disappears back into the darkness of the undergrowth. Only to remerge a minute later behind Aria.

Meanwhile…

The four corruptors that surrounded Deidric and Siarith began to grow restless. When Deidric lunges at the first Corruptor to appear in the water, one more follows behind it. The Corruptor releases a shrill when it's front legs were cut from underneath it. It's body toppling forward into the water, while the one that followed behind it lunged out at Deidric in aggression. Claws desperately trying to break Deidric's scale like armor.

From behind Siarith two more corruptor's emerged, stepping into the water drawn in by the amount of manna being displayed. However, they were not expecting to face a dragon and their sudden cautious approach made that apparent. The two corruptors hissed as they stood there sizing up the new pray that now stood before them. A hiss and the two corruptors charge Siarith, When they reached her their for-arms lashed aiming for her throat and underbelly.
