No New Posts Guul'tad Marsh

Everybody knows not to drink the water at Gull'tad. There's something funny going on here. To the south of the Thag Savanna, the sticky wet saltwater marsh sprawls out, at least eight square miles of almost impassable land. The marsh is fed by water trapped from the ocean by a tiny strip of land. The wildlife here is quite intimidating, and all around the stench in the muggy, stifling air is of salt and decay. Beneath traveller's feet, the ground squelches, and then crunches, as if from bones that have long been left here. It is wise to not stay too long.

No New Posts Heavens Pass

A definitive border between one half of Feyerlun and the other, the Heaven's Pass claws its way impressively across the landscape, tearing the grassland in two like jagged fangs. The mountains are five thousand feet at the lower peaks, and up to twice that height at the highest point. Compared to some countries, this might be trifling, but considering that the only way of crossing the mountain chain is to go over it (or traverse the treacherous Manna Gorge), it's enough to make a dent in the lives of Feyerlun's people. However, the Heaven's Pass is generally viewed as a challenge from the pantheon, and something to be relished.

No New Posts The Sleeping Lamb

A well respected tavern/inn that has a few skeletons in it's closet. It's a two story building with a bar in the main area. Upstairs there are eight bedrooms that are in standard quality. The food is good, but slightly over priced.

No New Posts Thag Savannah

Thag, the flat lands or wild savannah. It's fairly easy, after spending maybe five minutes on the baked savannah underneath the relentless lashing of the sun, to understand its name. The sparse tree cover barely provides enough shade for one, and the population of wild animals tends to be unwilling to share those coveted slivers of darkness. Short, scrubby, needle-like grass covers the ground almost everywhere in the savannah, and scratches cruelly at the ankles of anyone foolish enough to not have dressed appropriately. Water is extremely spare, and bones litter the ground -- a warning.

No New Posts Enol Desert

The blindingly white sands of Enol cover the whole of eastern Oroun in perilous, bone-dry dunes. Venomous reptiles call this place home. There really isn't much here but miles and miles of sand, and those hapless enough to end up here are usually done for, unless help arrives swiftly. Vultures circle the endless crystal of the sky, and when the moon shows her face come nightfall, the temperature does not relent.

No New Posts The Underway

A dangerous underground cavern that stretches on for miles upon miles just under Oroun. There are four entrances that lead into the Underway. One at the base of Heaven's Pass, On top of the Dragon breath Falls, in the Tarnish Crown Court, and last in the forever forest.

The Underway is unknown to the world above. With ruins of the old world within large corridors where spiraling SC pillars hold the place together. Traps both magic and non-magic litter the tunnels to keep intruders away from it's dark secrets. However, if you manage to survive this underworld, the last known record of this place said to have a castle and a whole deserted kingdom within. A past reminder of the old kingdom that first created the 'Destruction of Worlds'.

Board Information & Statistics

Board Description
Oroun
Oroun is a smallish, arid region off the northern coast of Ka'Glen. Its landscape is harsh and unforgiving, but its natives know well every contour and detail. Water is scarce, the wilderness is dangerous, and many people avoid it if they can, but many hapless wanderers end up here anyway. There are secrets to survival here, but they are carefully concealed and rarely given up easily by the indigenous population.
