APPEARANCE
Roxanne stands on the taller side at 5ft 6in. Her body is lithe, toned, and curvy from her constant moving and fighting. She usually wears a corset style top, low cut, with a long skirt that is split up the sides to show off her figure and for ease of movement. A glove on her right arm up to her bicep, a hand glove with a band around her bicep on her left arm and calf high heeled boots complete her outfit. Roxanne has long, blood red hair which she usually keeps in a high pony tail, some of it falling as bangs to frame her face, with a little bone barrette that is shaped like wings and even then it still reaches her waist.
In the last 8 years, Roxanne has developed a demon form. Lately she's taken to running around in that more than her human one. In her demon form, Roxanne has black, red tinted armor on her arms from the biceps down to her claws and her feet up to her knees like boots and gloves. A piece covers her lower abs from just under her belly button to her the tops of her thighs and falls behind her in a skirt, though the front is open, it edges up the sides of her ribs to barely cover her breasts, leaving a large area of exposed skin from her cleavage to her lower abs. Large black, semi transparent wings adorn her back with a whip like black tail about 4 ft long having an arrow head shaped tip. She grows fangs and her finger nails lengthen and harden to form claw. Roxanne leaves her hair down in this form, and it reaches her knees while horns rise either side of her head. Black, fang shaped markings appear on her face, starting widest at her brows and ending into thin points on both cheeks. Her eyes darken to black with white cat eye pupils.
In her human form, she carries a red bladed katana with a black hilt on her waist and keeps a small throwing knife in her boot. In her demon form, the katana morphs into scythe about 6ft in length with a 4 ft blade. The handle is mostly black, the design matching her armor, and the blade red with the same runes etched on it s the katana.
PERSONALITY
Roxanne has good street smarts but doesn't know much about books other than how to read them. She used to have bit of a guardian complex in that she always wanted to help people, sometimes to a fault, but it had gotten her in trouble many times. For most of her life, her emotions more closely mirrored her human side than her demon side because she was raised by her mother, though she did sometimes have a hard time dealing with her demonic tendencies. She has always had a lack of feeling when it comes to death and she has a strong vindictive nature. She can be too over confident at times and has been known to find inappropriate things amusing. (And by inappropriate I mean things that humans wouldn't find amusing.) Though because of her self-discipline, she usually managed not to show it. Now however, she is much changed. Gone is the friendly, albeit quiet and socially withdrawn, slightly flirty Roxanne of the past. Now she is more provocative, harsh in her judgments, using people as toys when it suits her. She's much more outspoken around humans. Having lost a huge chunk of her humanity, she has a dark humor.
BACKGROUND
Roxanne was born a half demon. She never knew her father and instead was raised by her mother. Sarah D'Angelo had been a great thief in her own time and taught her daughter all that knew. She raised her daughter alone until she died when Roxanne was 13 in a heist gone wrong. With no known relatives, Roxanne was orphaned. She left her mom’s village at the insistent of the people there. They thought because of what she was that she was dangerous and would only bring trouble. She traveled on her own doing odd jobs and stealing to feed herself for 2 years before settling in a tiny village working for a strange man that became her master. He helped train her in the use of swords, knives, and her demonic abilities. He fed her for her work and gave her a bed to sleep in. One night, the village was attacked and burned to the ground along with much of the surrounding area. Roxanne hunted down the bandits and burned them all but it didn't bring the village back. About a year later, she found herself in a place called Feyurlun and settled down for a while. She made a few new friends and managed to get herself into her first real relationship. His name was Dante and he was a demon. He made her ask a lot of questions about herself and demons and even led her to discover who her real father is. Eventually, the relationship went south when she caught Dante chasing after another woman. After a vicious fallout, she left him unconscious in his room and left the city. Eight years she spent roaming, doing more odd jobs, killing and stealing to stay alive. Yet, she finds herself returning now in her darkest hour to seek counsel with an old friend.
Roxanne took up demon hunting, in particular, because of all the things she had been told when she was younger about demons, such as their love of torturing and toying with humans. She was often feared and bullied during her childhood by the people in her mom’s village because of this. Having witnessed these things to be true with the demons she‘s killed, she never questioned her profession. She included bounty hunting for the money and as a way to make up for her demon heritage, which until recently was something she was ashamed of. She was determined to prove, mostly to herself, that being half demon wasn't a bad thing. After her recent wandering hiatus however, she's slightly more twisted. Roxanne lost all the self confidence and acceptance she'd gained, giving up on the idea that personality meant more than race.
Traveling from place to place in those long years, people that knew what she was would quickly spread the news. She was shunned, talked about, thrown out of towns despite any good she did there. Resentment grew and a nagging thought that everything would be better if she just gave in. People thought they could push her around, that she wasn't dangerous because she was only half demon. The voice told her that would change, if she just accepted her place. They would fear her, respect her. " You've spent a lifetime caged. By excepting who you are, all of who you are, you can be free. And freedom is power," it whispered. Eventually, Roxanne did give in. That was the night she discovered her demon form in a haze of dark energy. Her demon nature shows now more than ever. She's taken to full fledged mercenary jobs, often torturing or playing with her victims before finishing them. Having discovered her demon form, she most often travels that way now. Briefly going human only to pick up jobs or lure her targets.
COMBAT

Roxanne’s agile, able to think on her feet, and trained expertly with bladed weapons. In her human form, she can fun slightly faster than a normal human and heals a little faster as well, taking only a day or two to heal wounds that would put normal humans in bed for weeks. She has night vision, is telekinetic, and can use some magic. Her senses are slightly heightened, what some might call above average but not supernatural Like most demons, Roxanne is also gifted with a particular elemental talent and hers is the ability to control fire. In her demon form, these things increase greatly giving her extra power and strength. All non serious wounds heal within minutes. She can create fire as well as control it, her senses reach a supernatural state allowing her to smell like a wolf and hear things for miles. Of course, she can also fly in her demon form and her tail is prehensile. Demons tend to live a very long time, unless their killed of course. Roxanne is susceptible to colds and such though as her healing abilities only cover actual wounds.
